My native place

I decided that my commonplace, or native place is my home. I went home this weekend and I thought this was a great place to tweet about because I am the most familiar with this house. I’ve lived here since I was two and I have made the most memories in this house.  Wendell Berry speaks of his home and how when he is away at school he is often thinking about his home. I find myself thinking about my home and missing it and the people that go along with it. My family means the world to me and although it’s my fourth year being away from them, I still miss them just the same as I did my first night away at college. My home has very much so made me the person that I am today and without it, I’d be completely lost. I feel such a sense of security when I’m here, laying in my own bed, eating my mom’s home cooked meals. There is no greater feeling in the world than being home. :)
